Delete your account and data

You can delete your account yourself, without asking permission and without waiting for approval. This page explains the two ways to do it, exactly what is erased and when, and what to take care of first if you have an active subscription.

Which app this is about

Do4Brain — a daily cognitive-training app by Oversight, for iOS and Android. Everything here refers to your Do4Brain account and the data stored in it.

Have an active subscription? Read this first

Deleting the account does not cancel the subscription and does not stop the billing.

The subscription is bought and billed by the app store, not by us, so only the store can cancel it. Cancel it in the store before deleting the account.

  • Android: Google Play → your account picture → Payments and subscriptions → Subscriptions → Do4Brain → Cancel subscription
  • iPhone and iPad: Settings → your name at the top → Subscriptions → Do4Brain → Cancel subscription

First way: from inside the app

  1. Open the app and sign in with your phone number
  2. Go to “My profile”
  3. Choose “Delete account”
  4. Final confirmation: type the word “DELETE” and press “Delete the account for good”

Deletion starts the moment you confirm; there is no need to contact us as well.

Second way: without access to the app

If you have already removed the app, changed device or cannot sign in, you can ask us to delete the account directly, on WhatsApp or by email.

The contact details are not available right now. Please try again in a few minutes.

So that we can find the right account, please write from the phone number you registered with, or state it in the message. We verify the request against that phone number before deleting, so we may come back with one verification question. We answer Sunday to Thursday.

What is erased, and when

  1. Immediately

The account stops being accessible: you can no longer sign in, active sessions on every device are ended, and all push notifications are cancelled and stop.

  2. The first 30 days

The data is marked as deleted and is no longer used, but still exists on our side. This is a grace window: if you deleted by mistake, support can restore the account.

  3. After 30 days

All account data is erased permanently and automatically — personal details, task history, streak, preferences, subscription history and shares. From that point it cannot be restored.

  4. What is kept beyond that

One record only: that a deletion request was made at a certain time — with no name, no phone number and no email address, that is, nothing that ties it to a person. The record is needed to show the request was handled. The purchase itself is recorded by Apple or Google under their own policies and is not under our control.

You can register again with the same phone number straight away, without waiting the 30 days. The new account starts empty, without the earlier history.
